6 Flags on the Fun O Meter

We took the boys to Six Flags yesterday. Nugget had never been there before. Pickle has but being only 5 at the time, didn't remember it at all. So they were both pretty excited to go. We had a blast. The weather was in the 70's and the park wasn't all that busy. The longest they had to wait for anything was 20-30 min. It was a great day. They thought they were to cool to get pictures taken with most of the characters but I did manage to convince them into a few.



They even found a little time to fight crime...

Don't worry, we had our fun too...


Where else can you walk around all day with your clothes soaked and hair a mess all day and really not care? It was a nice little relaxing get away.

Rainy 4th of July

Wow...really been neglecting the blog lately. It's hard to find time to blog these days. I guess I'll start with the most recent festivities...the 4th of July. Unfortunately, I don't have a ton of pics or any exciting stories. The day pretty much consisted of a house full of people rotating positions from the porch to the inside. It rained from the time I woke up until shortly before fireworks started. Thankfully we still got to see the show. Here are a few pics from the day...

I did get off the porch for a short while for the parade...

Then there's Nugget who decided to take it easy and ride the float. Oh, and whip candy at people. I got clocked with a few handfuls.


After that it was a whole lot of hanging out...

Napping...

Singing...

and just plain silliness...


Wish I would have captured everyone but like I said...it was mostly sitting around. Couldn't think of a better group to be stranded with though. Thanks again for spending the day with us guys!
